1989
A new beginning
In 1989, Allan Gross-Nielsen and his then business partner Søren Christiansen established the company JobPartner, which formed the basis of the AS3 group as it exists today. From the outset the idea was to provide individuals and organisations with help and support in job transition and termination situations.

1997
JobPartner changes its name
In 1997, JobPartner changed its name to AS/3 – a name derived from the names of the company's partners.

Driven by a fierce commitment and the desire to advise managers and staff through job-related changes, AS/3 is a value-based counselling company focusing on the counselling of people and organisations who are experiencing job-related changes, which we call Job Transition Management.

First AS/3 centre
The first AS/3 centre opens in Vejle, focusing on job counselling for unemployed citizens.

1999
First book published
From the outset, AS/3 has sought to document the professionalism that serves to support its counselling. In 1999 the company published its first book “A dignified dismissal”. The book was the first in a series of books that have since been written by AS3. The book has subsequently been translated into Swedish, Norwegian, Finnish and English and has sold 20,000 copies to date. Read more about AS3 Publications

2000
Start-up in Sweden
AS/3 establishes a subsidiary in Sweden in connection with the opening of the Øresund Bridge between Copenhagen and Malmö. The first office is in Malmö in the Skåne region and this is soon followed by offices in Stockholm and Gothenburg

2002
Start-up in Norway
AS/3 establishes a subsidiary in Norway.

That same year, AS/3 is the Børsen Gazelle winner for the East Jutland region.

2004
Start-up in Finland
AS/3 establishes a subsidiary in Finland

AS/3 changes its name to AS3 Companies in connection with a splitting up of the company and a rebranding of the company's business areas. AS3 is a group of companies in the Nordic region specialising in different areas of job-related transition – including unemployment consultancy, careers advice and coaching as well as consultancy in connection with termination of employment.

2005
Health and well-being become part of AS3's service offering
AS3 acquires Work4Health, which specialises in providing health schemes with physiotherapists and chiropractors. Later the acquired company merges with AS3 own company, Markana, specialising in stress management. The new company AS3 Work&Care is born and specialises in well-being management and counselling in relation to stress and sickness absence.

2006
Mentor Company becomes part of AS3
AS3 acquires Mentor Company, which specialises in mentor training and implementing mentor programmes.

2008
AS3 – now with a crown.
As the first company in its field, AS3 achieves working environment certification and is awarded the Danish Working Environment Service's green smiley wearing a crown. In the years that follow, AS3 carries out annual external audits.

AS3's internal Transition Coach training programme is accredited by EMCC (European Mentoring and Coaching Council).

2009
AS3 reaches a milestone
The company celebrates 20 years in the business and launches a new internal Transition Coach programme – the first EMCC accredited coaching programme in Scandinavia.

2011
New understanding of job transition and the first graduates from the Transition Coach programme.
AS3 redefines job transition and introduces a new system of ideas in connection with job transition management. The first consultants complete AS3's Transition Coach programme after more than 2 years' training (1,200 hours). Counsellors can now call themselves “Senior practitioners” Emphasis on high professionalism and quality.

2014
AS3 celebrates 25 years.
25 years have passed since JobPartner started out in Denmark, currently under the name of AS3. Since our foundation, we have provided counselling to several thousand participants.

2015
AS3 Employment in the Nordic region.
AS3 Employment opens offices in Norway and Sweden
