AS3EMPLOYMENT PROGRAMME Programme for those who have been referred for flex jobs
It is our basic position that, in principle, there is little difference between looking for an ordinary job and a flex job. It is still a job that is being applied for, and therefore some of the same general requirements for job applications still have to be satisfied, even though the job has special conditions.
Security, trust and clarification are keywords in working with those who have been referred for flex jobs. The candidate must be the focal point and be supported in his or her faith that he or she has something to offer. Therefore, we target our work on moving the focus away from limitations and towards opportunities.
The candidate should be encouraged to take responsibility for his or her own situation. A flex job is not something you just get. You have to make an active effort yourself, in exactly the same way as when looking for an ordinary job. It is therefore important that the candidate should take proactive action to regain a foothold in the labour market. The candidate's motivation and ability to take responsibility for his or her actions is critical to achieving a good long-term result and is therefore central to our efforts.
Our experience shows that many people who have been referred for flex jobs find it hard to contact companies because they feel that they have nothing to offer. Therefore, they need help establishing contact with companies. Often, it is also necessary (in conjunction with the company) to “design” a job that matches the candidate's work resources and competences. We support the candidate in this process with ongoing involvement of our knowledge about the labour market and with close contact and cooperation with the business community.
